Saturday afternoon at the LA Zoo

This past Saturday, we took Chloe to the LA Zoo. The weather was perfect and she absolutely loved it! Her favorite animals were the hippos and the rhinos. She cried when we showed her the monkeys though - haahaa. I told her that they were her long lost relatives and I think she was offended - just kidding! The monkeys were shrieking and jumping up and down which probably scared her. Anyways, it was a super fun afternoon that ended with slurpies and kettle corn.

Long Beach Grand Prix

This past Saturday we spent the day at the Long Beach Grand Prix watching the American Le Mans Race with our good friends the Coleys. This was Chloe's second car race and she loved it. The weather was perfect but it was a very loooong day. We decided that next year we will just watch it on TV :)

Easter

This Easter, Chad and I are praising God for the gift of salvation. Chirst conquered death on the cross through the resurrection from the dead. We deserve the wrath of God, but instead God through His grace has given us the gift of salvation.

Romans 6: 8-11 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
